Another one of my cousins asked for some help. Her daughter went to junior prom at the end of May. So exciting… my little cousin, I helped babysit back in the day, is all grown up! I could cry 😥
Ok back on track here, I was asked to do her makeup for the big day. We first did a trial day to see if she liked what I could come up with.
Can you tell she loves getting her picture taken?!?
This is before faux lashes are put in to give the full affect. She unfortunately wasn’t a fan and thought it was too much makeup. But she’s not a makeup kind of girl anyways, and I told her its prom your supposed to get super dolled up. I toned it down on the smoky look and went more neutral lid color with bronze/brown color on the crease.
Here are the pics from the day of. Sorry for some of the poor photo quality.
Most of the items I used were her mom’s so I cant remember the brands and color names. The bronzer that I used for the lid crease was mine, from Arbonne, and I’m absolutely obsessed with it.
I used a black powder eye shadow and a gold crayon stick shadow (not sure I’m a fan of these) during the trial run. Maybe I’m not using it correctly or if your supposed to set it with something so it doesn’t clump up.
What do you think of these looks? Anyone have any tips for me for next time??
Hope I get to help with Senior prom next year! I had so much fun with them, so glad I got to be apart of this time in her life.
I took the plunge and went with Magenta!! As I had mentioned in this earlier post, I was looking for inspiration to make a change to my dull hair. I had my Hairdresser only add the color to where my hair was already lightened instead of bleaching my whole head, this made it look more like highlights/ombre type of look. That way its not so drastic for my job, but is enough of a change to keep me happy (at least for the time being)!!
Today’s Inspiration Wednesday is about bold and bright colored hair.
I’m looking to dye my hair again and can’t decide whether to go more towards Pink/Reds or Purples. I’ve always looked good in Red tones but I want to go bolder. Here is some inspiration I got from Pinterest and would love to hear your thoughts! 🙂
Light (Bubblegum) Pinks??
What are your thoughts?? Hope I’ve inspired you to make a bold change!! 🙂
Thanks a BUNCH for taking a minute to check out my new blog, and learn about my revelation to start one. A little tidbit about me is that Ilovepractically Everything. I Especially love glittery, shiny things too! “The more BLING the better” I always say.
I was really hesitant to start a blog, since I’m not much of an over-sharer especially when it comes to my personal life, but the “Gemini” in me does need to ask everyone’s opinion whether its on life decisions, styles/fashion, pros & cons of ideas (like this one) and whatnot before I can decide what to do. And yes I did asked all my close friends & family if I should ‘start a blog’ and came to the decision to give it a try.
I figured Bloggin’ would be just another way for me to do what I already do with my friends, to broaden my ‘horizons’ of opinions. What do I got to lose? Maybe a few hours of writing about something I love?! Doesn’t seem so bad…..right?
So here I go with my first post EVER……. and I would like to tell you what you will find on this blog.
DIY Jewelry & Crafts
Home Decor, Tips & Styles
Fashion & Beauty Tips & Styles
And MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!
Well I hope you enjoyed it, and please feel free to let me know of any blogging tips that maybe useful to a ‘newbie’ like me!
